The hay unit was developed specifically for turning and raking up cut grass. When the swathe panel is folded up, the cut grass is raked up across the entire working width and redistributed at the side of the machine. If the swathe panel is positioned to the side of the prong belt, the grass is gathered together and can be collected with a loading device.
The hay units are all equipped with front-wheel steering, which is also used to set the height of the prongs. The hay unit is steered via a control rod on the main machine.
The hay units 150 and 180 differ from one another not only in terms of their respective working widths but also with regard to their basic design. The hay units mentioned above are made specifically for daily agricultural use and are correspondingly robust.
